Abstract:Thi paper aim at the exploration of training the comprehen ive application ability of non- Engli h major tu
dent . The author hold the view that college Engli h teacher hould pay much attention to the three level of language teach
ing: the practice of language kill , the development of communicative competence,and the teaching of wetern culture. Thi
tudy wa conducted in the tudent of Grade 2002 in Yunnan Normal Univer ity. Thi re earch achieved the expected re ult
of gaining the effective teaching mode , creative teaching methodology and optimal approache of how to improve the compre
hen ive application ability of non- Engli h major tudent .
