I have married and now I have a lovely daughter. I graduated from Shanghai Maritime University in 1988 with a bachelors degree in marine engineering. Then I have been working on board as an engineer for about 15 years. I am interested in your company. Hope you can give me a chance. Thank you very much. 2. Your daily work on board I am the fourth engineer on board. I like the life on board. My duty time?is 8-12a.m and 8-12p.m.My main work is to keep all the pipes and pumps in good condition. Sometimes I have to do some repair work such as repairing the air compressor or other pumps cylinder. The most common problem that I experienced is the cylinder of the pumps. During my spare time, I like listening to the music, reading books and doing some exercises. That is my life on board. 3. Watch-keeping in engine room The engineer in charge of the watch should be able to service all the machinery. He has to maintain the machinery in good condition. I am fourth engineer on board. I am in charge of deck machinery, all pumps, lifeboat diesel engine and so on. I must keep all the machines and equipments in good order. My work time is from 08:00 to 12:00 and from 20:00 to 24:00.Sometimes I have to do some repair work. When something goes wrong, I have to check and remedy it. 4. Please say something about you job Hi! How are you? I really like my job on this vessel. The work is difficult but I enjoy it. Every morning the Chief Engineer gives me a list of jobs to do. I have some free time after work. So, I often play chess with my friend, Andy. He is so good at chess that I never win! I sometimes read a book before going to sleep.
