l. SCOPE:
This specification, in conjunction with the general requirements for steel heat treatment covered in
AMS 2759, establishes the requirements for heat treatment of low-alloy steel topartsminimum
ultimate tensile strengthsof 220 ksi (1517 MPa) and higher. Parts are defined in AMS 2759.
2. APPLICABLEDOCUMENTS:
The issueof the following documentsin effect on the dateof the purchase order forms a partof this
specification to the extent specified herein. The supplier may workto a subsequent revisionof a
document unless a specific document issueis specified. When the referenced documenthas been
canceled and no superseding document has been specified, the last publishedof thatissuedocument
shall apply.
