Moreover, globalization has resulted in a proliferation of audiovisual media products. The increasing capacity of transmission and the growing number of broadcasting approaches have led to an increasing demand for foreign multimedia works.Among different kinds of language transfer in film, subtitling is gaining growing importance due to following factors: fist, the increasing demand for foreign audiovisual programmers has led to growing interest in subtitling as a comparatively inexpensive and efficient way of language transfer even in countries where dubbing has been the rule. Besides, in many countries, subtitles are being used as a means to teach foreign languages and promote foreign language competence. Another trend in many countries is the increase in subtitling television or film programmers for the benefit of the deaf and those with hearing problems. All those factors require more studies in this promising field.?There are several questions worth considering. What are the specific features and constrain of the subtitling foreign movies? What are the approaches to subtitling? These are problems this paper purports to deal with.II.
