ASSESSMENT OF WENCHUAN EARTHQUAKE REGION TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS Bin Wang , Qipeng Yang , and Xibing Huang 1)School of Traffic and Transportation,Southwest Jiao tong University,Chengdu,China School of Civil Engineering,Southwest Jiao tong University,Chengdu,China Abstract: In recent years earthquake disasters had brought enormous damage to the transportation network system, which functionalities are required. The regional distance-based accessibility is leaded into assessing the earthquake region transportation system. It will explore a new assessment method suitable to the earthquake region transportation system in our county. The new assessment method is applied to Wenchuan earthquake region transportation system as a case study. The case analyses the space difference of Wenchuan earthquake region system by the regional distance-based accessibility.It also analyzes the difference of regional distance-based accessibility. Its conclusions are consistency with the actual situation and verify the new assessment method valid.
