摘 要 ABSTRACT With the recent development and progress of society, many people’s styles of working and living have changed a lot. One noteworthy example is the thriving of SOHO group, which has been attracting more and more attention. Members in SOHO group are leading the tide of youth and fashion, and have a relatively free and independent life. Despite their different occupations, they share a lot in common: allocating their work place at home, and arranging work schedule according to their work load. Therefore it is necessary to design one kind of furniture whose function can satisfy their practical needs while whose appearance can meet their aesthetic requirements. This thesis aims to design a set of working table, chair, and bookcase for the industry designers in SOHO group. Designed from a humanistic perspective, this set of furniture is full featured, original and fashionable. It is designed to cater the preference of the modern SOHO members by enabling them to have a free, comfortable, humanistic working environment, showing the idea of originality and passion, and indicating the elegance of culture. The process of design includes the proposal of the topic, the survey and analysis of the design, the decision of design target, the brainstorm and the draft of the project, the analysis and estimation of the draft, the final choice of a specific project, the protraction of design sketch, three view drawing, and the production of model, etc. finally, the set of furniture which is suitable for industry designers in SOHO group is designed in this thesis.
