In this paper, the study by AC motor speed control system using PLC to control the frequency converter speed control，programmable logic controller and give fullplay to the high reliability，flexibility,versatility，scalability，etc，through the PLC switches to control the volume of input and output modules multi-functional inverter input to achieve the multi-stage motor speed control，during the RS485 transmission technology through the establishment of the PLC and inverter PROFIBUSP-DP communication to complete the PLC control program inverter speed control system design and all of the control system design.
