However, there’s one serious defect that the tube buddle is liable to take place the flow induced vibration, which will result in breakage to the equipment itself. Based on the introduction of the international engineering application situations of the flow induced vibration analysis, corresponding to the water-water type without phase changing condition of the shell-and-tube heat exchanger with nuclear safety class 2 or 3, according to TEMA standard, the possibility and criteria of the flow induced vibration by Vortex Shedding, Turbulent Buffeting, Fluid-elastic Instability and acoustic vibration are researched , and the flow induced vibration analysis method for this issue, as well as the solution for the design with the potentially existing dangers of the flow induced vibration damage are presented.
