Draw an arrow to revise the 4 words: cold, cool, warm and hot. But don’t forget humid. 2. Get Ss to look at Picture C .Tell them: It’s Chengdu. How is the weather in it? It’s sunny. Is it cool? No, it’s hot. It’s hot and humid. 3. Make a survey by the whole class. Ask Ss: Who likes the cold weather? Have Ss raise their hands. Check out the most popular and the least popular weather. Get Ss to talk about the local weather in 4 seasons. Step2. Presentation 1. After talking about the local weather in 4 seasons, let’s watch different weather in other countries. Tell Ss Maria is in Mexico. Play this phone conversation between Sam and Maria. Listen carefully to their questions and answers. Play the tape the first time, Ss only listen.
