Note deadlines. Check the Counseling program’s website for applications, due dates, and updates regarding practicum and internship classes. Complete the application for practicum or internship at the Dept. website the semester BEFORE you plan to take the class. Be sure to give ALL current contact information. An active email account is required. Deadline for applications is July 14, 2014. Practicum: Download the current Practicum Internship Handbook (50+ pages) from the Dept. website (community form or the school form) (See the Clinical Applications or Forms page). Review the entire Handbook carefully, especially Terminology, General Guidelines Policies, Practicum Requirements, Finding a Field Site Placement. Also download the ethical guidelines from ACA (all students) and ASCA (school-track only) and review before class. Internship: Check to see that you have the most current edition of the Practicum Internship Handbook (cover page). Review the Internship Requirements. Complete the online Practicum Orientation or Internship Orientation at the Counseling program website (See the Clinical Applications sub-menu).
