R e search concern ing different featu re point detectors is rich and evaluation of them is very nece ssary. F irst, a statem en t of the art wa s given in th is p ap er. Then, several fre quen tly u sed intere sting detectors and som e novel idea s were tested and comp ared. The p erform ance of these detectors wa s evaluated under the criteria of their rap idity and p recision a s well as adap tab ility.
