Research Advances in Measuring Method of Soil Water Content

Abstract: Through comparison and analysis of methodology, principle, and advantage and disadvantage of various soil water content mea-
suring methods, it is pointed out that measuring soil w ater content by using soil water content transducer can reflect the dynamic conditions
of soil water content. T his method is safe, reliable, rapid and direct; and especially, by using intelligent meter formed by interface circuit,
t his method has the functions of automatic soil w ater content monitoring, irrigat ion water quantity control at different position and location
w ithout soil structure breakage, and it has become the main research development direction of soil water content measuring at present.
