= Abstract Obj ective To investigate the b ood fibrinogen ( FIB) content before and after chemotherapy or
radiotherapy in 43 ma ignant tumor patients . Methods COULTER ACL- 200 automated coagu ation ana yzer was
used in monitoring FIB in the patients. Results The FIB content w as signif icant y higher in ma ignant tumor
patients than that in benign disease patients. Signif icant reduction w as observed after treatment w hich became
e evated again w hen there w as recurrence or metastasis . Conclusion Assessment of FIB not on y he ps to diagnose
cancers but eva uate the therapeutic effect and prognosis a so.
