Retail Store Refresh Initial Concept Corporate Branding and Design August 28, 2007 WORK IN PROCESS Lenovo Confidential | © 2007 Lenovo Overview of Retail Store Refresh project • Corporate Identity and Design is leading a WW effort to create a comprehensive retail store strategy; this is a major touch point for the Lenovo brand. – Most immediate need is in AP – New guideline is designed to address Worldwide requirements – China agrees with developing a unified retail store strategy and will consider adopting following the Olympics • Reasons for the redesign: – The retail stores need to have a more consumer feel and reflect the identity of the Idea brand – We currently have an inconsistent retail store image worldwide which is detrimental to building the Lenovo brand – Key findings from our March research trip need to be implemented • We have identified the scope of the project, selected a vendor, created a schedule, developed a budget and kicked off the project with the vendor WW Branding and Design Strategy Lenovo Confidential | © 2007 Lenovo | Page 2 of nn Overview of Retail Store Refresh project - 2 • We have developed an expanded Corporate color palette to enable a more lively, consumer look and feel for the stores • We have provided design recommendations for the ASEAN stores that will be built in the interim period; these recommendations do not reflect the thinking of the new guideline in process. • The project has three phases: – Phase I : research and retail store team organization – completed – Phase II: design concepts – funded from Corporate Design and in process – Phase III: design development and documentation - Craig is working the funding for this next phase WW Branding and Design Strategy Lenovo Confidential
