* A Happy Holiday Every year, I have a long holiday. But last summer holiday was different from others. My parents took me to a small village. We had a lot of fun there. The farmers in that village worked hard in their fields every day. I helped them grow rice and corn. I really enjoyed working with them in the fields. They also fed lots of animals. Most of them were interesting, like hens, dogs, sheep and so on. One of the dogs, Mao Mao, followed me every day. I liked to play with him, too. I got a lot of fun last summer holiday. I hope I can go there again. During the National Day I’m going to Hainan for vacation with my parents. We are leaving on September 29th. And we are going there by plane. We will stay there for about two weeks. We are going sightseeing there. In the morning, we are going to the beach. In the afternoon we are going fishing, going shopping and so on. What wonderful vacation it is! It can help me forget all my trouble. There are fifty students in Class 1, Grade 8 at Yuying Middle School. Every day they go to school in different ways. Fifteen students take buses because they live far from the school. Ten students walk. They think walking is good for their health and they live near the school. Twenty-five students ride their bikes to school because they like riding bikes very much, and their homes are not very far from the school. No one goes to school by car. I live in Guangzhou. Every morning I take a bus to go to school. If it is weekend, it will take me 10 minutes to go to school. But at weekends I spend about 30 to 40 minutes to go there because of the heavy traffic. There are too many private cars on the road so the bus can’t go fast. I think it’s terrible. The government should think out some solutions to the problem.
