Abstract:The inclusions in the steel samples taken at different stages of AOD-LF-CC process during 409L stainless
steelmaking and casting were observed by a scanning electron microscopewith an EDS X-ray analyzer.The types of
inclusions from different stages of the process were analyzed and identified.The inclusions in AOD were mainly
CaO-SiO -Al O - gO compounds, while in LF, it was detected mainly gO-Al O -TiO inclusions.Both gO-
