Methods Eighty ASA - patients undergoing joint replacement surgery were randomly allocated into two groupsTCI group and CI group.With the same range of anesthetic depth(BIS 4555),heart rate and arterial blood pressure were measured at each time points.Time to palinesthesia,extubation,orientation recovery,side effects and total propofol amount were also recorded. Results Comparing to CI group,hemodynamics of patients in TCI group were more stable during the surgery(P0.05),and the total amount of propofol were less than in CI group(P0.05).Time to palinesthesia,extubation, orientation recovery did not differ between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Both general anesthesia of propofol TCI and continuous infusion provide satisfactory maintance with qucik awareness from anesthesia,but the former has better controllability and m
