A bstrac t: The geopolitical characteristic and strategic position of Tawi an are reflected in the Ch inese policies of great pow ers,
wh ich surely are also upgraded gradually w ith Chinas national developm en t strategies. So, it is inevitable to interpret the tripartite inter-
estings on the question of Tawi an, wh ich is based on the dem and ofUn ited State, Japan and Ch ina. The competition of the tripartite in-
terestings on the question of Taiwan just reflects the strateg ic connotation of the relations of S ino- Japanese asw ell as S ino- US.
