T: Good morning, everyone. I am Miss Cai from Haikou and I am very happy that we will spend 40 minutes together.

T: You just graduated from junior school this summer, where and how did you spend your holiday this July?

T: Sounds interesting, but this July left me bad memory; let me show you what I went through.

T: What disaster is it?
T: Can you use some adjectives to describe it?
s:Terrible ,horrible, powerful
T: Yes. I thought it horrible, too. When it came, I was at home, fighting against the water, because water kept coming in. Outside the rain was pouring and the wind was blowing. One of the windows cracked, I felt shocked and didn’t know what to do because never have I experienced such a strong typhoon before. It was reported that some cars were damaged by the fallen trees. Some people were injured when walking in the street. Because of it, Haikou didn’t sleep that night!
T: Have you ever experienced any natural disaster? Or do you know other natural disasters?
T: Do you still remember what happened to Wenchuan on May 12th, 2008?
What damage was caused at that time?
