ABS unit provides a buoyant stable platform, which is located at 300 meters below the sea surface to minimize direct wave loading. Thus, a good selec鄄 tion of hydrodynamic coefficients is of vital importance to determine the behavior of ABS unit, which is under the direct action of the sea condition of various currents. In this study, appropriate hydrodynamic coefficients of ABS unit are derived by means of computational fluid dynamics ap鄄 proach, the accuracy and validity of which are proved by comparing with analytical and experimen鄄 tal data. Furthermore, parametric sensitivity of each hydrodynamic coefficient on the ABS unit mo鄄 tions is calculated and investigated in time domain.
