Meth- ods 43 case patients of treatment group underment a procedure for continous CSF ventricular external drainage CSF substitution and medical conservative treatment ；42 case patients of control group for only medical conservative treatment . Results Compare the time of convales consciousness ，the time of convales normal temperature ，the death rate ，and the hydroceph- alus rate of the therapy group patients is superior with of control group（P 0. 0 1 ）. Conclusion The ventricular external drainage of CSF and the CSF substitution is effective in serious tubercu- lous meningitis ，lt can be recommended for clinical use. 【Key words 】continous v
