ChinaAerodynamics Research Development Center, Mianyang Sichuan 621000, China) Abstract: The survey of the NF6 wind tunnel is introduced briefly. The Mach number closedloop control system in the NF6 wind tunnel is expounded, especially in detail Mach num ber measurement, control strategy and control process, and the sketch of Mach number closed loop control system is analyzed. The compressor stator vane control is as thefirst level coarse ad justment method of Mach number control, and PI controller is as the second level fine adjustment method of Mach number control. The accurate control experiment of Mach number in the test section is performed. T hetest result indicates that the control precision is under 0.002, the Mach number closedloop control system has achieved good controlling effect in practice.
