Abstract: T hough the di erent u ses o the duration makes Bergson s thoughts seem ambiguous, they still have
something in common , thah is , ego , consciousness and li e are all existing in change and development . And this
kind o chanage and devolopment is course that can not be divided into parts, or during these courses , the latter in
cludes the earlier . For Bergson , duration belongs to relig ion , just because the unnoticeable reason that be believes
that it can be a new argument or the ex istence o God.
