University of Shanghai for Science and Technology Vol . 28 　No . 3 　2006 　 　　文章编号 :1007 - 6735 (2006) 03 - 0279 - 06 人眼定位算法与人脸图像标准化 朱树先 , 　张仁杰 (上海理工大学 光学与电子信息工程学院 , 上海 　200093) 摘要 : 提出了一种改进的人脸图像标准化算法. 该算法先利用改进的人脸图像的垂直灰度积分投 影确定脸的左右边界 ,再根据人脸图像的水平灰度投影曲线来确定眼睛的大致高度. 利用由上述方 法得到的参数对人脸进行第一次裁剪 ,然后对人眼精确定位 ,最后对图像进行旋转 、剪切和缩放 ,获 得人脸的标准图像. 采用 ORL 人脸数据库进行仿真实验 ,结果表明 ,该算法消除了背景 、头发等干 扰 ,保留了人脸识别所需的主要信息 ,有利于后续的特征提取与识别. 关键词 : 人脸识别 ; 人脸图像标准化 ; 垂直灰度投影 ; 水平灰度投影 ; 排序统计滤波器 中图分类号 : TP 39 1 　　　文献标识码 : A Method of human eyes locating and face image standardization ZHU Shuxian , 　ZHAN G Renj ie ( ) College of Op tical and Elect ronic Engineering , University of S hanghai f or Science and Technology , S hanghai 200093 , China Abstract : An imp roved met hod of face image st andar dization is p resented . The p arameter s obt ained above are used for t he fir st cropping of face image . Then t he accurate po si tions of human eyes are located . Finally ,by cropping ,rot ating and zooming t he image ,a st andar d image can be achieved . Experimental result s based on ORL face database demonstrate that interferences such as backgrounds ,hair and costumes are almost all eliminated ,while the main information required in face recogni tion is preserved.
