Abstract: A general summary and overview of biomimetic robotics is made upon dozens of references home and abroad.
The key problems of biomimetic robotics are discussed including modeling of motion mechanism, processing of detected sig
nals, optimization of control and computation, efficiency of energy metabolizing and compound of biomimetic materials.
Finally, the development trend of biomimetic robotics is forecasted.
