Muthukumar† 1 v The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Madras 600 113 INDIA 7 1 0 9 0 2 We present results obtained (by exact diagonalization) for the problem of two t−J 9 / planes with an interlayer coupling t⊥ . Our results for small hole concentrations show t a m that in-plane superconducting correlations are enhanced by t⊥ . When the constraint - d n on double occupancy in the t−Jmodel is relaxed, the enhancement disappears.
