To solve the security of access to meta-data in computational Grids, by modifying model BLP, a secure access model named GBLP is introduced to support access control to Grid catalogue. In the computational Grid, resources and users can be endowed with different secure levels. Because Grid catalogue is a logic map of all physical resources, and then, when different secure levels are assigned to different users for catalogue access, the secure access control of Grid resources can be implemented by controlling the access security of Grid catalogue. In an experiment Grid (Wader Grid), the hierarchical access control for Grid catalogue is implemented by using secure model GBLP. 1 Introduction Computational Grids [1] are usually used to solve the wide-area computational problems in heterogeneous systems interconnected by Internet. Except for dealing with the computational problem, Grids can also provide services for users to share computational data. In fact, most resources on Grids are open. Therefore, either in large-scale parallel computing or in access to resources, the problem about security is inevitable.
