Measurement of Concrete Cracks Based on OTDR

Abstract: Optical fiber sensing technology used in the concrete crack measurement is an effective w ay to measure
the structural damage in concrete structure. The principle of the technology is analyzed, and the quantitative relation
between optical loss and crack w idth at the angles betw een crack and fiber axis being 30, 45, 0, respectively is
explored, finally the feasibility of the technology is verified.
