As an indicator ofwater eutrophication, rapid detection of chlorophyll content in water can predict the extent ofwater eutrophication and pollution. Based on the spectralcharacteristics of chlorophyll fluorescence, this paper reports a new technique for themeasurementof eu - 6 trophication and a chlorophyll fluorescence detecting instrument. The sensitivity of the instrument is up to 3 10 . A lot of expermi ents of tracking the distribution and growth of phytoplankton, and the mi pactof clmi ate changewere carried out in the Jingye lake in T ianjinUniversity.
