Bejiing Key Laboratory of Clothing Materials RD and ssessment, Beij ing Institute of Fashion Technology , Beij ing 100029, China Abstract Due to the problems such as heatresistance, compatibility and safety of exudates of small organic ant ibacterial compounds , two different isothiazole monomer with unsaturated side chain, i. e. 3 allyloxyisothiazole and Nallylisothiazolone, were synthesized with 3mercaptopropionate as the starting material through ammonolysis, cyclization and allylation reactions. All the resulted products and key intermediates were 1 13 characterized with EIMS, HNMR and CNMR. The combined overall yield of these two compounds was up to 52% .
