She is an indispensible role for the happy ending of this gripping and unforgettable story棗Oliver Twist. 王The swing between good and evil, kidnapping and rescuing made her role more realistic and authentic as well as more close to the life of low class. The struggle and torture of her innate heart made us constantly focus on the deliberate change of her character. The miserable ending of her fate was inevitable in that complicated social background, so this essay will analyze the reasons that caused the formation her double character under that social background and environment. Key words: Oliver Twist, Nancy, character Charles Dickens is generally regarded as the greatest novelist of the Victorian period in Britain and he created some of the worlds most memorable fictional characters in the 19th century.
