In this exercise, we will: Set up a simple webservice on an Apache Tomcat Server using AXIS Generate an SSL keystore file Configure Tomcat to use SSL Export the certificate from the keystore for use with DataPower Import the certificate into DataPower Configure a firewall to invoke the web service with SSL Test the web service with the SSL configuration Configuring Apache Tomcat In this section we will configure Tomcat and set it up with the Web Service we will use in this exercise Dowload and install Apache Tomcat Version 5.5 ( or newer ) Dowload and install Java JDK 1.5 Download and unzip Axis 1.3 Copy the C:\axis-1_3\webapps\axis subdirectory to the Tomcat Webapps directory (C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\axis). Copy the provided SimpleWebServices.jws ( This is a java file, who’s extension has been changed to .jws so it can be invoked as a web service from tomcat ) into C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 5.5\webapps\axis Copy the tools.jar file from the (java lib directory) to the /apache/tomcat/common/lib directory, or add it to your CLASSPATH Execute the \APACHE INSTALL\Tomcat 5.5\bin\tomcat5w.exe program, go to the java tab, and ensure the jvm that is referenced is the one from the JAVA JDK 1.5 directory: Go to the General tab and start Tomcat.
