Abstract :Strengthening the construction of language and culture in the universities
in Beijing plays an important role in enhancing the cultural quality of university students
and promoting the development of the city ’s culture． Based on the findings of a
questionnaire ，this paper makes a preliminary study of the situation of language use among
university students in Beijing ，explores the situation of students ’use of normative terms
and existing problems so as to propose effective coping strategies．
