空间策略与文化身份 :从后殖民视角解读《柏油娃娃》 都岚岚 内容提要:作为唯一一位获得诺贝尔文学奖的美国黑人女作家 ,托妮 ·莫里森的作品受到了 广泛的关注。其中 , 《柏油娃娃 》是最有争议的一部作品。本文认为,作为后殖民主义小说 的《柏油娃娃 》中的主要人物在加勒比海的骑士岛、巴黎、纽约和弗罗里达州的埃罗等地域 之间旅行、移位 ,对于后殖民时期的美国黑人对抗单一的、本质主义的黑人文化身份具有重 要意义。小说采取的空间策略对莫里森反思美国黑人和白人的文化冲突、探索当代黑人的 文化身份具有重要作用。 关键词 :托妮 ·莫里森 　《柏油娃娃 》　空间策略 　文化身份 　后殖民视角 作者简介 :都岚岚 ,清华大学外语系博士研究生 ,吉林大学外国语学院讲师 ,主要研究方向为 西方文论与美国文学。 T itle: Space Strategy and Cultural Identity: A Postcolonial Reading of ToniMorrison ’s Ta r B aby Abstract: A s the only Afro American female writer who has received the Nobel Prize for L itera ture, ToniMorrison has drawn worldwide attention. Each of her novels has received considerable critical studies, but Tar B aby is perhap s the least written about and the most controversial work. This paper, however, argues that it is very significant forMorrison to set her story of Ta r baby in different p laces such as the Caribbean Isle des Chevaliers, Paris, New York and Eloe. The space strategy adop ted in this postcolonial novel p lays a very important role for black characters to resist a fixed, essential identity and search for a mobile black cultural identity instead.
