T o solve the ifficulties above, couple react ors were int ro uce . When the couple reactor w orks in the cir- cuit, the parallel connection of circuit breakers is not an problem any more. When the pow er system is in normal stat e, the couple reactor show s a leakage reactance an the currents in the parallele breakers are almost equal to each other . But as long as the short circuit happens an t he arc in one of the interrupters extinguishes f irstly, the couple reactor show s t he self-react ance of the reactor coil, which is much bigger than the leakage reactance, an may be equal to the circuit impe ance. Consequently , the principle of the couple reactor an the esign metho are put forwar . With t he simulating mo e, t he probable infection is also iscusse in magnetic fiel an circuit fiel . The result shows that the couple reactors o w ell in sharing an limiting faulty current automaticly.
