For evaluati g the relatio ship betwee course stability a d tra sverse stability of the towed ship, the four degree equatio s of the towed ship is used i the towi g system dy amic model. For the research o regular waves i flue ce o the motio s of the towed ship, the wave actio force a d mome t o the ship is also i troduced. The towi g ship motio is simulated by steeri g rudder us i g co trol rule of PD, so the motio of towi g ship u der steeri g rudder is calculated truly for simulatio .
