This slide demonstrates the logical placement and sequencing for Accelerated Workshops in context with the RAPID phases. The colored circles represent the different workshops, which may be single or multiple day events. Consistent with the RAPID method, the Accelerated Workshop technique relies on an iterative process. Five different types of workshops have been defined, and are referenced on this diagram using the following color code: RED = Strategy Planning Workshops BLUE = Current State Review Requirements Gathering Workshops YELLOW = Future State Design Workshops GREEN = Technology Infrastructure Architecture Workshops PURPLE = Solution Verification Testing Workshops Since each project varies in terms of scope, timeframe, complexity, etc., it is important to note that not every project will utilize the same workshop strategy for all of these work threads. For example, a small project may only conduct a single workshop event to drive the future state package design. A large, complex multi-national project, however, may require a series of strategy planning workshops, followed by multiple current state/requirement gathering workshops to identify all of the necessary business needs, as well as multiple future state design events. ? 2006 Capgemini - All rights reserved * Implementing SAP at Givaudan will presumably require a process redesign and therewith a new organisational design.
