METHODS: According to the initial data from HIS software and the requirement of equal interval sampling, the actual procedures of pretreatment and auto-random sampling of prescription data by excel were summarized and demonstrated. RESULTSCONCLUSIONS: Exact pretreatment and auto-random sampling of data were required for prescription assessment. The work load of full manual operation were heavy, and it was fallible. To build a series of data treatment procedures through application of excel functions was essential. It was demonstrated by practice that this methods was precise and efficient.
