Thenwewillseeacomprehensiveresearchrfomtheaspectsofthedefinition ofindustrialspiritinhighereducation,itsmanifestations,anditsspecific characteristicsinmarketeconomy.Highereducationisconsideredasthebodyof knowledgerenovation,an industry which spreadsknowledge,cultivates intelligenceandtrainscapabilitiestoincreasestudentsknowledgeandintelligence, a orocessitgfactory transformingknowledgeintomaterialandspiritual productivity.Itmanifestationscontain:(1)itisanindustryproducingknowledge; (2)itisanindustryproducinghighertechnology;(3)itisanindustryproducing manpowercapital;(4)itcancontributetothegrowthofGDPdirectlyandindirectly Third,theresearchoftherelationbetweenthepublicspiritandtheindustrialspirit inourhighereducation,makesusawarethatthesetwospiritsareconflictingwith eachotherwhileharmoniouslycoexist.
