This is what is going to differentiate Deloitte from our competitors in the future. As Nick Tomasino said, we are the only firm that has the capability to provide an end to end solution for our client’s risk management difficulties. Risk Intelligence is the umbrella that all of our Risk Advisory services fit under Managing Risk has been a topic of concern for years. Our clients have continued to struggle, and few if any have gotten it 100% right. In addition, there are various reasons why it is on the corporate agenda: High profile company collapses in US (Enron, Worldcom) followed by encouragement from SEC and NYSE to adopt risk management activities Required in the UK since 1998 (Combined Code), but recent review (Higgs) has asked companies to revisit their processes In Continental Europe, tough national corporate governance regulations such as KonTraG in Germany, Loi Sécurité Financière in France, and Tabaksblat in the Netherlands Financial analysts and rating agencies are increasingly interested in a company’s ERM capability.
