The excavat ion recovered a city site of the Western Zhou D nast and t he surroundin ditches of t he East ern Zhou Period; inside t he cit site, y y g y house foundations, ash it s, cellars, rammedearth latforms, w ells, urials and chariot and horse its, p p p includin tw o Tsha ed lar esized tom s, w ere recovered. From these rem ains, ot ter w ares, ronzes, g p g p y shell and one im lements w ere unearthed. Amon the ronzes, a out 10 ieces had inscri t ions, two of p g p p w hich had lon inscri t ions com risin over 70 characters. Chenzhuan Site is t he earliest Western Zhou g p p g g cit sit e found to date.
