Daocheng Yading in Southwest Chinas Sichuan province will drop to 80 yuan from 150 yuan, also from Nov 1, like most of other scenic spots. However, some places start to apply the off-season policy a bit later, in the mid of November. For example, Jiuzhaigou Valley in Sichuan province will charge visitors 80 yuan for admission from Nov 16, compared with the current 260 yuan. Kanas Lake in Northwest Chinas Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region will be generous enough to offer free admission from Nov 15, compared with the current 150 yuan price. Combined with cheaper accommodation and transportation fees, travel agencies suggest that off-season travel from November can save tourists as much as half of their peak-season budget.
