A. Reasons for topic selection (including background, theoretical and practical significance)
As we all know, Vocabulary is the key to learn a kind of language well. Master a number of vocabularies can enhance our ability of speaking, writing and reading. The more vocabulary we have, the easier to learn more English. Vocabulary is a important part in the middle school English teaching But some students lost their interests in English because of they can not remember the word 。So, how to teach vocabulary efficiently and develop the students thinking ability then make the students learn words on their own initiative is an endless and serious task by our teachers. All long, English vocabulary teaching in our country ignored vocabulary is existed in specific contexts in many cases. Students and teachers only have teaching and learning vocabularies process in the classes, and have very few efficient review of the words, the only thing they will do is dictation. For language learning, especially the vocabulary, the key point is practice to intensify the impression of knowledge in our mind. According to German psychologist H.Ebbinghaus’s study, Forgotten begin immediately after learning, so after study we should practice again and again to remember what we have learned. Chinese ancient educator Confucius said: To learn new things by reviewing old things. It is an suitable idea to explain the English vocabulary learning, the same to English learning.
