When emergency brake ABS can avoid direction out of control and wheels sideslip.This paper take the ABS system of Volkswagen serials cars for example.First,it introduce the history of the ABS system, function and characteristics.Second it describes ABS system structure and working principle,daily maintenance and diagnosis methods; Then illustrates the ABS system fault detection and diagnosis, and some common faults be also analysised; At last, the paper introduces the typical ABS systems fault detection and diagnosis of Volkswagen serials.
