Currently, an increasing number of Chinese companies go abroad and set up business relations with foreign companies. Thus, the quality of English corporate profiles is crucial to a company?s image and a corporate profile with high quality is likely to attract further foreign partners. Although many companies have both Chinese and English corporate profiles on their websites, the English version is less than satisfactory, such as word-for-word translation, which lacks consideration on textual level. Domestic study on the translation of corporate profiles focuses on the words and expressions. The translation strategies are also limited, so further study is needed.
