1. Revise prepositions from lesson 1 using agreed actions.
2. Use Monsieur X CD for extra practice (song 11/12)
3. Introduce new vocab for bedroom using flashcards or slide 1 of the ppt presentation. Practise vocab using actions for each noun.
4. Use slides 2-8 from ppt to practise prepositions and link these to items of furniture in bedroom. Eg: où est le chat? Le chat est sur / sous / devant … etc
5. Create action sentences which make up the sentence:
eg: le chat (stroke whiskers) est (mouth silently) sur (‘on’ action with hands) la chaise (mime sitting down)
Ch have to try to reconstitute sentence.
Ch practise in pairs, and class then watches examples.
6. Using cat preps ppt, ch watch slides 9 onwards, suggesting each time where the cat might be – answer is revealed as T clicks.
7. Pupils can create their own ppt.
Y5/6: Increase the number of objects by using a dictionary or by using words they know from other contexts
