Washington puts both of his hands over the eyes of the horse and says to his neighbour, “If this is your horse, then you must tell us in which eye he is blind (瞎的).” “In the right eye,” the neighbour says. Washington takes his hand from the right eye of the horse. The horse is not blind in the right eye. “Oh, I have made a mistake (错),” says the neighbour. “He is blind in the left eye.” Washington then shows that the horse is not blind in the left eye either. “I have made another mistake,” says the neighbour. “Yes.” says the police officer. “The horse is not yours.
