张会霞 座机电话号码85 Contents A Language Teaching Syllabus Creating and Reinterpreting a Syllabus Alternative Orientation in Syllabus Design A Process Syllabus A Language Teaching Syllabus Definition: syllabus is most typically a shared plan of what is to be achieved through our teaching and our students’ learning and therefore open to inspection and evaluation. Function: 1 its main function has been to map out the content or subject-matter of our course and, thereby, indirectly guide and serve the teaching and learning of that subject matter. 2 it offers a ‘route map’ to its users which has the potential to provide overall continuity and also particular points of reference. 3 it can indicate where we are going, where we are, and where we have been. A language teaching syllabus Construction: Principles of constructing language teaching syllabus: selection, focus, subdivision, sequencing grading Creating and reinterpreting a syllabus Three syllabi: 1 the teacher’s version of the predesigned plan 2 the individual learner syllabus, 3 the unfolding syllabus of the classroom the synthesis of the other two Conclusion: A good predesigned syllabus is one which is positively amendable to alternative interpretations and open to reconstruction through interaction in the classroom. Two lessons for the design of syllabi: 1 Learners are likely to need plans in order to have a sense of direction and continuity in their work. 2 The genuine value of a syllabus may be far less in what it tries to represent than in the actual uses in may server in a classroom.
