Our clients are facing a number of questions with direct implications on how their IT environment will be managed Architecture and Design is an Integral Part of Building an IT Solution Vision An Enterprise technical architecture will promote uniform design, development, and deployment of capabilities that will reduce the complexity of the environment, enhance developer productivity, and decrease time to market. The envisioned solution should include the following characteristics: Leverages existing information system assets, while reducing maintenance costs Utilizes of multiple technologies that facilitate dynamic messaging Accommodates new, unforeseen information sources and deployment Exploits Internet/Intranet technologies to implement groupware and workflow Facilitates evolutionary migration toward distributed component/object technologies Leverages industry standards (CORBA, UML, XML) The Ideal Architecture . . .
