Compressor Wheel and Turbine RotorThe highly stressed, one-part compressor wheel consists of a forged and milled-to-shape aluminum block that withstands the high circumferential velocities of up to 560 m/s.The compressor wheel and the turbine rotor are both seated together on the rotor shaft.The rotor shaft runs in plain bearings which enable precise centering of the rotor shaft.They have a high damping effect due to the hydraulic oil film, and are also insensitive to vibrations and imbalance.
