Compressor Wheel and Turbine RotorThe highly stressed, one-part compressor wheel consists of a forged and milled-to-shape aluminum block that withstands the high circumferential velocities of up to 560 m/s.The compressor wheel and the turbine rotor are both seated together on the rotor shaft.The rotor shaft runs in plain bearings which enable precise centering of the rotor shaft.They have a high damping effect due to the hydraulic oil film, and are also insensitive to vibrations and imbalance. In order to ensure quiet running even at high speeds, both radial bearings are designed as floating bearings. Characteristics of the Assemblies2.
